take your makeup storage to an exciting new dimension with an individually designed functional piece of art brought to you by Death & Candy Custom Creations; an indie makeup brand
Unlock the world of custom creations with the vast selection of materials and mediums for your dream palette. it can be as easy as adding a pop of flash to pulling out all the stops for creating a 3d masterpiece. read below for more information.
3d resin pieces
There are a selection of small molds that are adequate for palette tops but a lot of the current options stem from crystal shapes. If you want something specific, I can attempt to make a silicone mold.
loose flakies
Loose flakies are a great way to add a prism vibe to the artwork below or above in the resin coating and offer an irregular texture for more naturalized than controlled pattern.
neon pigments
Neon pigments look great under a UV but are also very bold and stunning when you have them in natural lighting!
iridescent cellophane
Similar to vinyl, cellophane is typically less opaque and is a singular color unless iridescent. Cellophane does not have an adhesive backing which makes it great for overlay details.
confetti
This is more of an umbrella category that can run from large loose flakies to cellophane grass (think Easter baskets) to large sequin shapes used for table decoration at events.
Plaster 3d art
Love seeing 3D paintings? Add in some custom colored plaster florals or naturalized textures from brushes for a simplistic 3D texture for all the STEM pleasure.
chunky or mircofine glitters
Since I keep many glitter options on hand for my gels, they also can be used for palette design. There's an assortment of hexys, shapes like stars and hearts, microfine, iridescent, holographic and much much more.
mica pigments
Love seeing your eyeshadows IN eyeshadow? Loose mica powders can be a great way to create a top coat for a palette design or give a little extra sparkle.
Opal shifting vinyl
Vinyl is an adhesive backed sheet that comes in a variety of shifts and textures. This type has linear duochrome shifts that can catch any eye and is a great pairing for your specialty shadows.
metallic leaf
Gold leaf is the most common leaf I typically hear about when discussing metallic leaf colors. It actually comes in an array of color and is a great way to bring metallic pops to your design without looking as uniform as vinyl.
sand
Typically white in its natural form, it can be colored with paint or mixed with other add ins like mica and glitter
acrylic paint
Whether you want a 3D rendition of textured painting or super far out acrylic pours, this is a great way to get a base design that is completely individualized.
polished gems
If you're looking for a specific healing crystal or just like a certain type of gem, I can source that for your custom. I try to keep clear and colored quartz on hand at all times.
multichrome pigments
Multichrome pigments gives extra dimension to a palette cover and make you want to constantly keep shifting it around to catch all the colors. Add this as a way to give your flatlays a pop when photographing from different angles.
holographic & glitter
vinyl
Holographic vinyl can come in a few forms that vary from iridescent clear films to completely opaque glittery sheets that have holographic reflections. Some glitter vinyl has shaped patterns like hearts and stars.
metallic vinyl
When it comes to vinyl, metallic is used to describe the type of reflectiveness. Think of coins or polished metals but in almost every color.
natural materials
From memorial items like ashes to leaves and floral pieces to bark and pressed insects, the sky is the limit with natural elements to add in.
alcohol inks
Alcoholic inks are a great way to tint resin coatings to give an extra layer of sophistication but you can also use inks to create beautiful blown techniques or tie dye effects.
